My interest in radio goes back to about 1957 when I was able to listen to my brother's Short Wave Radio at home. My father had purchased an ex-military radio called a R208. I started listening to broadcast stations such as Radio China, Radio Moscow, Voice of America and most of the European Countries International Services. I collected QSL cards from these stations which are a means confirmating that I heard them giving signal reports and content of the program heard.
